child
combined assessment.

positive, neuro-affirming nice guidance assessment.

what?

A fully integrated autism and ADHD assessment for children and young people who show characteristics of both neurotypes. This process explores how autistic and ADHD characteristics interact; across play, learning, relationships, sensory experiences, and emotional regulation.

It’s designed to give you a clear, compassionate understanding of your child’s unique neurodivergent profile, without forcing them into a single diagnostic box.

how?

Completed in line with NICE guidelines, our approach is collaborative, neuroaffirming, and tailored to your child. All clinicians involved are neurodivergent, bringing lived experience and deep empathy to the process.

The assessment includes:

  • Pre-assessment questionnaires for home, school, and (where appropriate) the young person themselves

  • A child observation session that honours their communication style and comfort

  • A parental developmental interview to explore early milestones and context using validated tools such as the DIVA Young 5, and elements of the ADOS or MIGDAS.

  • A multi-disciplinary meeting to review findings and ensure a well-rounded understanding

  • A feedback session to walk through the results together

  • A full written report with clear findings, tailored recommendations, and signposting to further support

We look at the whole picture; to understand how characteristics of autism and ADHD overlap and influence your child’s experience.

why?

Young people with combined characteristics often feel unseen in assessments that focus on just one neurotype. This integrated approach recognises and validates their full experience, helping families access the right support in education, healthcare, and beyond. Most importantly, it helps you nurture your child in a way that truly fits who they are; with clarity, confidence, and care.
