One piece of feedback we hear time and time again is that the assessment is only part of the journey. Receiving a neurodevelopmental assessment outcome can bring clarity, validation, relief, excitement, grief, uncertainty, or a mixture of emotions. There is often a lot to process once the feedback appointment has finished. That is why, at Bold Minds ND, we have introduced a complimentary follow-up call 1–3 months after every assessment feedback appointment. We believe that ne

I'm looking forward to sharing more of this journey as I continue navigating pregnancy, neurodivergence, motherhood, and business. Because these conversations matter, and they're still not talked about nearly enough.

It's not just about balancing work, motherhood, relationships, friendships or running a business. It's about balancing different neurotypes, different needs and different capacities within the same brain and body.

As an AuDHD woman, heat affects me in ways that many people don't always see or understand.

Content note: This piece discusses miscarriage, missed miscarriage, hospital experiences, sensory distress, meltdowns, executive functioning collapse, and grief. I did not set out to write this. Every January, we’re encouraged to do more : be more organised, more productive, calmer, fitter, better. New planners are bought. New habits are promised. And for many adults, especially neurodivergent adults, those resolutions quietly fall apart by February. Not because you lack motivation. Not because you didn’t try hard enough. But because most resolutions are built on a misunderstanding of how your brain actually works. This year, I want to offer a different kind of resol

The festive shutdown is often meant to be restful, yet for many children and adults it can feel overwhelming. This blog explores different types of rest – sensory, mental, emotional and social – with practical, flexible ideas to help regulate the nervous system and reduce burnout. The festive season can be magical; twinkling lights, joyful songs, and special celebrations. But for many children, especially those who are neurodivergent , this time of year can feel overwhelming. This time of year brings so many mixed emotions for me. I love the lead-up to Christmas; the soft, glimmering lights, the cosy nights, the gentle magic that builds in small moments. Now that I’m a mum, creating that magic for my little one feels even more special. ✨ But as a neurodivergent adult, there has always been a darker side to this season too, long before I ever understood why. The Hidden Difficulty Behind the Festive Shine For me, Christmas has always felt hard . No

Add in being AuDHD, and the experience carries both challenges and joys that can feel amplified in every direction. It’s not just about raising a child, it’s also about raising myself, in a way. Learning how to show up authentically, how to regulate, how to embrace imperfection and how t

It’s about creating a world where every kind of mind feels seen, supported, and part of the team. 🧠🏉💗

I would say that at least 80%, probably even higher, of the parents I speak to when assessing their children (and parents of adult...

What happens when unmasking at work isn’t freeing but frightening? In this post, I share my lived experience of masking, burnout, and the trauma of unmasking in an unsupportive workplace. From skill regression to quiet rebellion, this is a story about the cost of fitting in—and the power of building something better.
