ABOUT BOLD MINDS Nd.

Bold Minds ND is a neurodivergent-led service for neurodivergent people and the people who love them. We focus on inclusion, accessibility and breaking down the barriers and stigma that can make life harder than it needs to be.

We believe in embracing our brains (the good, the bad and everything in between) and learning how to work with them, not against them.

Our approach is warm, practical and grounded in real-life experience, so you will never be met with judgment or a one-size-fits-all plan. We are here to make understanding easier, support more accessible and differences something to be celebrated.

Whether you are seeking answers, strategies or simply a safe space to be yourself, Bold Minds ND walks the journey alongside you.

About Alice.

Specialist Speech & Language Therapist | Neurodevelopmental Assessor | Founder & CEO

I created Bold Minds ND because I know what it is like to feel misunderstood, overlooked or unsure where to turn for the right kind of help. I have been where many of my clients are; searching for answers, battling stigma and trying to work out how to live in a way that actually works for my brain.

As both a neurodivergent adult (late diagnosed AuDHDer) and a specialist in autism, ADHD and communication, my mission is to make sure you or your loved one are seen, heard and supported in a way that is personal, practical and validating. At Bold Minds ND, we focus on understanding the whole person, not just a diagnosis and creating tools that help you work with your brain, not against it.

My story.

childhood & teen years

I grew up without a diagnosis, which meant I learned early on how to mask and adapt to fit in. Those years taught me how exhausting it can be to constantly push through, but they also gave me empathy for others who feel different or left out. This understanding is at the heart of how I connect with clients and their families today

uni & young adult years

I went to Cardiff Metropolitan University and graduated as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2016. During my training, I wanted to give others what I had often needed myself; someone who really listens, values difference and makes communication easier.

Navigating university without understanding my own brain was a challenge, but it’s why I’m so passionate now about flexible, accessible and strengths-based support

Adulthood

My adult life revealed just how much the environment shapes our ability to thrive. I began to see that challenges were not personal failings, but often the result of barriers, lack of understanding and unrealistic expectations. This realisation now drives how I help clients and families identify and remove those barriers in their own lives.

Career & Motherhood

In 2019, I trained and qualified as a neurodevelopmental assessor and practitioner. I have supported children, young people and adults with a wide range of needs , always with a neuro-affirming, person-first approach.

Becoming a mum to my own toddler gave me a deeper understanding of the pressures families face, and a renewed commitment to making services feel safe, accessible, and collaborative. It was also the key part of my story to fully understanding my own neurodivergence and getting my Autism & ADHD diagnoses in 2024.

CEO ERA

Today, as the founder of Bold Minds ND, I bring together lived experience, professional expertise and a commitment to change. My goal is simple: to replace confusion with clarity, isolation with connection and stigma with acceptance.

Whether you’re seeking answers, strategies, or a space where you can truly be yourself, Bold Minds ND is here to walk alongside you every step of the way
