BOLD YOU.

HELPING YOU LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR BRAIN

AND USE IT TO RESHAPE YOUR WORLD.

wHAT?

BOLD YOU is a neuro-affirming programme that supports neurodivergent young people to better understand themselves, recognise their strengths, and develop confidence in who they are.

Through five structured sessions based on the BOLD framework, we explore belonging, strengths, barriers, personalised supports and self-advocacy in a safe, engaging and creative environment.

Rather than focusing on changing behaviours, BOLD YOU helps young people understand why they experience the world differently and equips them with practical tools to navigate school, home, friendships and everyday life with greater confidence.

Each young person finishes the programme with their own personalised BOLD YOU Toolkit, bringing together reflections, strategies and resources they can continue to use long after the sessions have ended.

HOW?

Every programme begins by getting to know the young person as an individual - their interests, strengths, experiences and goals.

Across five sessions we work through the BOLD framework:

B – Begin with Belonging

Building trust, identity and psychological safety.

O – Observe Needs & Strengths

Recognising what helps, what drains energy and celebrating strengths.

L – Locate Barriers

Understanding the environmental, sensory and social barriers that can make everyday life more difficult.

D – Design Support

Creating personalised strategies, supports and self-advocacy tools.

YOU – Your Voice, Own Your Story, Unlock Your Future

Building confidence, celebrating identity and planning meaningful next steps. Sessions are interactive and flexible, using discussion, creative activities, journaling and practical exercises tailored to each young person.

Where appropriate, parents or caregivers are invited to a feedback session to share progress, celebrate strengths and explore ways to continue supporting their young person beyond the programme.

WHY?

Many neurodivergent young people spend years believing they are "too much", "not enough", or that they need to change to fit in.

BOLD YOU was created to challenge that narrative.

By helping young people understand how their brain works, recognise their strengths and identify barriers that are often environmental rather than personal, we aim to build lasting confidence, resilience and self-understanding.

When young people understand themselves, they are better able to communicate their needs, advocate for appropriate support and approach education, relationships and future opportunities with greater confidence.

Because every young person deserves to feel understood, accepted and empowered to be unapologetically themselves.
