Autism Assessment for Girls UK
What an Autism Assessment for Girls Looks Like
We understand that reaching this point can feel like a big step.
Our process is designed to feel calm, supportive, and clear from the very beginning.
A conversation first
We always start by listening.
You’ll have space to share your child’s experiences, your concerns, and what’s led you here, without judgement or pressure.
A neuro-affirming approach
We recognise that autism in girls can look different.
Masking, internalising, and social coping strategies are all carefully considered throughout the assessment.
Specialist-led assessment
Assessments are carried out by Alice and her team of experienced clinicians, using a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure a well-rounded and accurate understanding of your child.
Before moving into a full assessment, we offer an optional screening call (£75 for 45 minutes).
This helps us make sure that an assessment is clinically appropriate and that we’re the right fit for your child; giving you clarity and confidence in the next steps.
A clear, supportive report
You’ll receive a detailed report that not only explains outcomes, but helps you understand your child’s strengths, needs, and how best to support them.
Ongoing support if you need it
Whether or not you choose to move forward with further support, we’re here to guide you, at your pace.
Autism can present very differently in girls, and many are often misunderstood, missed, or diagnosed later.
At Bold Minds ND, we offer a gentle, neuro-affirming approach to autism assessment; one that focuses on understanding your child as a whole person, not just a checklist.
If you’d like to talk things through first, you’re very welcome to book a free 10-minute call with Alice 💛
